Poetry
Poetry is an integral and indispensable component of our spritual and physical well-being.
We rely on poetery to guide us to joy and insight and we celebrate the presence of several accomplished
poets in our midst.
a forest owl calls
who will stop to listen
who, who
Haiku by James "Ouzel" Arnold 2/4/41 - 11/3/07
persistent ravens
keep calling back anf forth --
they too must gossip
Haiku by James "Ouzel" Arnold
Seven lakes
Seven nights
Under a changing moon
Haiku By Jack McKinnon

I sometimes think
that it would be a great accomplishment
to learn just this one thing
To be able continuously to find
or rather to create from minute to minute
inside of me
an empty center
as calm and open as the doughnut holes
in some of Henry Moore’s bronze people
To learn to lose
the little fearful unbreathing knot
in that central place of self
Maybe not to carry the self around
at all
to carry something much lighter
like god.
